Marshawn Lynch immediately regrets cursing in interview then does so again. (Read More Here).

Cal’s football team hosted Washington on Saturday night. During the game, former running back Marshawn Lynch was interviewed. Lynch is a Bay Area native, went to Cal and even briefly played for the Oakland Raiders. His best NFL days came while playing in the state of Washington for the Seattle Seahawks. Given the familiarity that many viewers of the game have with Lynch, he was a natural interview for ESPN.

Lynch was speaking about the crowds at California Memorial Stadium and spoke of how different things are now compared to when he was there, when the Golden Bears were one of college football’s best teams.

Things went awry when Lynch used a couple of words that you normally don’t hear on ESPN. It’s safe to say that this interview was the authentic Lynch experience. Only, we got something far more entertaining than “I’m just here so I don’t get fined.”

“I’m from the Bay Area. But when I look around the stands, and I see that these motherfuckers…” Realizing his mistake, Lynch then paused and briefly put his mouth over his head before continuing. “I mean, these stands aren’t how they were when we were here — that shit kind of got me…I ain’t feeling that.”

“He never said a cuss word,” Lynch said. “To this day, I don’t think I’ve ever heard him say one.”

Lynch, who played at Cal from 2004 to 2006, added he and Forsett, who played from 2004 to 2007, had fun and always had jokes for one another.

Being back is special for Lynch.

“It’s always a dream come true,” he said. “I never thought we would ever have this moment because both of our careers had ended. The football thing was over. We found out we were getting inducted into the hall of fame together. That’s one more opportunity to get out there and experience something like this.”

That’s what things got interesting. The former NFL star pointed out the attendance left a lot to be desired.

“I’m from the Bay area, but when I look around the stands and I see these (expletives), these stands, weren’t full like we were here, that (expletive) kinds of have me on tilt. I ain’t feeling that. If this is California Bear football, they need to start filling up this stadium.”
