A female patient ran away from a private hospital in Kedah yesterday after being told that her illness was not covered under her insurance. (Read More Here).

When informed, the patient refused treatment and escaped without settling her bills, the Kuala Muda District police said.

“The hospital staff tried to contact her but the patient did not answer the phone call and a police report was made by the nurse,” the police added. 

“They tried to find her at home, however the woman was nowhere to be found as the door was locked.”

According to the police, the woman went to the hospital due to a stomach ache and said that she had insurance when checking in. 

“We are still conducting further investigations and are tracking the patient,” the police added.
