A man from Oklahoma City was arrested after being accused of passing HIV to three women.
Earnest Lacour, 30, was detained on Thursday after a woman informed authorities of his HIV status and posted a warning to her followers on social media about his possible role in spreading the disease. Other women came forward about their interactions with Lacour, and investigators found in his medical records that he had tested positive for HIV in August 2019, according to FOX 25.
One of the women said she went to the doctor with Lacour after testing positive and said she knew about his status when he was given his medication without taking a blood test. Authorities later charged Lacour with three felony counts of knowingly spreading HIV. He’s currently held at the Oklahoma County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
