Twelve (12) inmates escaped from custody at the Komatipoort police station in Mpumalanga on Saturday evening.
It is reported they made away with two service pistols and ammunition. As such, two of the escapees have since been arrested after being caught while trying to cross into Mozambique.
The remaining ten (10) still are still loitering around or rather at larger. Their escapement comes after the eruption of fight between the police and inmates in the holding cells.
