The boy’s father reported the events in a video posted on Twitter on November 7 at night. There he recounts that Abner entered the school at 7:30 am to take his swimming class and two hours later they called him to notify him of an incident without going into details.
“He came in, we said goodbye, they told us at 9:30 at school that my son had had a mishap in the pool, they didn’t give us more information, they didn’t tell us what had happened, we asked for explanations,” he narrates between sobs.
Lorena Álvarez, the minor’s aunt, accused the Williams School of hiding the alleged negligence of its staff and of not clarifying the events that occurred within its facilities.
