Aaron Carter’s family decided to have the singer cremated, two weeks after his tragic passing at his home in Lancaster, California. 

According to @tmz_tv, Aaron’s death certificate revealed that he was in fact cremated, with his ashes to be kept in possession by his sister, Angel. As of yet, the family has not decided whether to have those ashes put at a particular resting place, but that’s a decision they’ll make further down the line.

As for an official cause of death, sources say there are still further tests that need to be performed in order to determine what led to Aaron’s demise after he reportedly drowned in his bathtub on November 5. Cops later discovered several canisters of compressed air and other medications, which they suspect had contributed to the fatal incident.

Aaron’s death was followed by the news that the “I Want Candy” pop star died without a will, even though lawyers had recommended he have one in place after welcoming his son, Prince lyric Carter, in late 2021.
