A shocking video shows the moment a Las Vegas girl escapes from her bedroom window to get water from her neighbor’s garden tap.
Authorities said she was locked in her bedroom for a year by her mother and grandmother.
A girl could be seen climbing up a ladder in the video clip taken on November 4 after attempting to acquire food and water from her neighbor’s property. Maria, her next-door neighbor, advised the victim to call the police, but the young woman declined, saying “no one would believe her.” Around 3:30 pm, authorities showed up at the house. She tried to stop them from going in by saying she would “check on” her daughter personally.
In her North Las Vegas residence, the unnamed 18-year-old girl was confined to her room, provided minimal food, and forced to use a bucket as a toilet. Her mother, Addy Gonzales, grandmother Maria Pasarin, and another relative, Daniel Omezcua, were all arrested and charged with child abuse and false imprisonment, as reported by 8 News Now.
