The convoy of Deputy President David Mabuza was today involved in a car accident. One of his bodyguards died on the scene but the deputy president wasn’t injured. 




This is the second accident involving the Deputy President in months.


A convoy of Deputy President David Mabuza was reportedly involved in an accident in Middleburg, Mpumalanga and one of his bodyguards apparently died on the scene but the deputy president wasn’t injured. This is the second accident in recent months.


Deputy president Mabuza’s convoy was involved in another accident on the N1 North in Midrand on July 27 when the vehicles collided with each other and Mabuza wasn’t in the car.


The police statement about the accident: “The SAPS confirms that at about 10:30 on Sunday, 20 November 2022, the Deputy President’s motorcade was travelling between Mpumalanga and Gauteng when one of the back-up vehicles’ tyre burst, causing the vehicle to roll over.”
