Here are the authors of House Bill (HB) No. 6608 or the “Maharlika Investment Fund Act”, as of December 13, 2022.
ABILL filed at the House of Representatives seeks to rename the Agham Road and BIR Road in Quezon City as the Senator Miriam P. Defensor-Santiago Avenue.
The measure, House Bill 6576, was filed by Isabela 1st District Rep. Antonio “Tonypet” Albano, Quezon City 1st District Rep. Juan Carlos “Arjo” Atayde, and Quezon City 4th District Rep. Marvin Rillo.
“Renaming the Agham Road and the BIR Road as Senator Miriam P. Defensor-Santiago Avenue is a fitting recognition of her remarkable efforts and contributions that benefited the Filipinos and the nation as a whole”, the bill’s explanatory note read.
“The Agham Road and BIR Road traversing from North Avenue to East Avenue located in Quezon City are hereby renamed as Senator Miriam P. Defensor-Santiago Avenue”, the bill, filed on Dec. 9, 2022, states.
On Tuesday, the bill was read on the floor and referred to the House Committee on Public Works and Highways.
