Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that President Muhammadu Buhari accused of making Morocco after he congratulated the team.

A Nigerian Twitter user wrote: “Buhari congratulated Super Eagles, they lost

Buhari congratulated Anthony Joshua, dem beat am like thief

Buhari congratulated Kamaru Usman, been losing since then

Buhari has now congratulated Morocco, they’ve lost to France

What Buhari can’t destroy does not exist. Abeg o.*”

The close friendship between Frances’s Kylian Mbappe and Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi will be set aside Wednesday evening as both friends are set to clash in the second semi-finals between France and Morocco.

Mbappe and Hakimi have enjoyed a close friendship since Hakimi arrived at Paris Saint-Germain FC in 2021, with Mbappe introducing Hakimi to the Parisian culture and his circle of friends and family, according to a report by Daily Mail.

Both teammates at the PSG and friends will have to put their friendship on hold Wednesday for the fight for a place in the Qatar 2022 World Cup final against already qualified Argentina.

Hakimi has been positioned to mark his dear friend, Mbappe, on the left flank, bringing both friends directly against each other in the contest. So far, Mbappe and Hakimi have enjoyed each other’s support. After Hakimi’s decisive penalty in the shoot-out against Spain, Mbappe took to Twitter to congratulate his teammate.

There was perhaps no clearer example of that than Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, An omnipresent part of the Moroccan midfield, as France broke away with one of the fastest players in the world, Kylian Mbappe, Amrabat took it upon himself to solve the situation.

He will no doubt be the subject of much attention after the World Cup, having caught the eye of even causal observers. Aside from the sensational desire and belief he has shown in this instance, on the ball Amrabat has been cool and composed too, often picking out the perfect pass to set up Morocco on the counter.

Many observers predicted France to struggle after they arrived at the first winter World Cup in difficult form, having finished third in their UEFA Nations League group behind Croatia and Denmark. They also needed little reminder of what happened the last time they tried to defend their world title in 2002 when they went out in the group stage.

He’s only set to turn 24 two days after the World Cup final, but Mbappe has already struck 33 times for France.

Olivier Giroud, 36, surpassed Thierry Henry as his country’s all-time leading goalscorer in Qatar and sits on 53 goals ahead of the semi-final with Morocco – but it seems inevitable he will be caught by Mbappe.Mbappe has only featured in two World Cups, but he already has nine World Cup goals for France.

He scored four, including one in the final, as France won the trophy in 2018. He currently has five in 2022, level with Argentina star Lionel Messi as the tournament’s top scorer.

Mbappe didn’t score in the quarter-finals against England or in the semi-final win over Morocco.
