“Pro-Putin Russian thug Simeon Boikov AKA “Aussie Cossack” was arrested today after he live streamed himself pushing an elderly Ukraine supporter down the stairs in Sydney, smashing the old man’s head into the pavement.




An notorious pro-Russia online commentator has been charged with assault after scuffling with demonstrators at a Sydney rally in support of Ukraine.


Simeon Boikov, 32, who posts online under the nickname ‘Aussie Cossack’, shared videos to social media on Tuesday of himself attending the rally at Sydney’s Town Hall.


An elderly protester was hospitalised after sustaining a head injury during the incident with video appearing to show Boikov in a scuffle with the elderly man.


NSW Police confirmed they were called to the Town Hall after reports of a disturbance just after 1pm and had arrested Boikov.


‘Just after 1pm officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command were called to the steps of Town Hall, Sydney, after reports of a disturbance,’ a NSW Police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.


‘Upon arrival, police were told a 76-year-old man was allegedly assaulted during a planned protest. The man was not seriously injured.’


‘A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Day Street Police Station.’


The elderly man was taken to hospital as a precaution.


Boikov was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 25 January 2023.
