The police arrested a criminal identified as one of the main leaders of bank robberies in cities in the interior of Brazil.
The action is known as “domination of cities”, where weapons with greater destructive power are used, such as explosives and rifles, in addition to attacks on the police.
Elinelson Alexandre Ferreira, known as ‘Pinga’, aged 37, was arrested today in Moju city, Pará state.
‘Pinga’ had been on the run for four years and had seven outstanding arrest warrants.
According to police, he communicated through messaging apps. He was arrested on a shift from Limeira city, in São Paulo state to Pará state.
The operation took place in partnership between the Military Police of the states of Pará, Federal District and São Paulo.
