The body of the criminal lawyer who disappeared last Tuesday was found buried in the backyard of a house in Montes Claros city, Minas Gerais.
Alexandre Mauro Barra, 34, disappeared after making contact with his family in Montes Claros.
The lawyer’s car, was seen passing by a toll plaza on BR-040 highway, in Sete Lagoas city, central region of the state, being driven by two strangers.
On the night of the same day, the truck was found in Contagem city, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte.
The investigation team received information about a man being involved in the lawyer’s disappearance. He revealed that the body was buried in a property. In the backyard, employees of the Civil Police, military and firefighters found the concreted soil.
The body was wrapped in blankets and with a belt around the neck.
Three men, aged 35, 26 and 28, were arrested. Police are still looking for other suspects.
According to the Military Police, the crime would have been motivated by debts that the suspects had with the victim.
In order not to pay the amount, they would have decided to kill the lawyer.
