The influencer from Paraíba Gkay and the comedian Fábio Porchat got involved in a controversy on Sunday (25), after a joke during the Best of the Year award ceremony, from Domingão com Huck . In a video published on social networks on Monday night (26), Porchat stated that “the joke is not humiliating anyone”, and justified the position.

Gkay felt offended by Fábio Porchat after a joke in which he implied that Jô Soares preferred to die than interview her.

The comment made reference to a participation of the influencer in the program Lady Night , presented by Tatá Werneck, who was in the audience of Melhores do Ano.

“I look at Jô and I keep thinking: What would he do with a Gkay, right. Tatá (Werneck)? That’s why he preferred to leave us, sometimes, right?”, said the comedian.

Shortly after Porchat’s comment, Gkay went to social media to vent and reported that she felt offended.

“You say that a person preferred to leave than interview me, you really have no idea how much that hurts me in a thousand places. First, because I know what it’s like to lose someone, second because being interviewed by Jô was one of my dreams, and third because I must be a huge piece of trash”, said the influencer.

This Monday, Porchat commented on the matter. In a video just over six minutes long, the comedian stated that the joke was not humiliating and explained the context of the comment.

“The joke wasn’t about killing anyone, it’s not humiliating anyone, it’s simply saying that it would be crazy to interview Gkay, that not even Jô could do it”, he said.

Porchat also said that he believes that Gkay’s Christmas was not spoiled because of the joke he made, contrary to what she said, but “for her year”, listing controversies involving the influencer throughout 2022. May 2023 “be a better year for her”.

The comedian also said that he did not look for Gkay to apologize and that he learned his lesson about the importance of pronouncing on controversies.
