Southwest Airlines has been receiving a lot of backlash after canceling about 15,700 flights since winter weather started disrupting air travel a week ago.
Katie Demko spoke with CNN and said her wedding was set for December 30th and with the flight cancellations she and her family wouldn’t be able to make it in time. She detailed the situation once she arrived at the airport and explained she was about to board the flight and was told the flight was canceled. “At that point I had a lot of my family with me and I was in shock.” Demko shared.
“We tried to rebook and there was nothing, Southwest actually booked me for a flight on January 2nd and my wedding is tomorrow, December 30th so that would pass the date of the wedding.”
