Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Retired sprinter, Asafa Powell, says he was not referring to all Jamaicans when he branded several citizens as ‘ungrateful’ for not recognising the privilege they enjoy for having the world class sprinters remain living in the country.
“People think athletes are just dumb, you know they think we are just dumb..that we are not supposed to talk that we are supposed to be humble because anytime we open our mouths to speak the truth people don’t like it”

Asafa suggesting he was not referring to all Jamaicans when he made critical comments in a YouTube podcast.
“That’s what the media is for you know. When they want to throw you under the bus they can do that easily. People make their names from bashing athletes and nobody don’t attack them but when the athlete stands up for themselves we trending on twitter” – Asafa.
