Some of these TikTok trends are just getting out of hand now. One of the latest trends — which involves users faking the deaths of celebrities — continues to go viral and cause so much unnecessary harm.

One of the users who participated was Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance’s 16-year-old son, Slater Vance. The teenager recently uploaded his version of the trend, in which he pranked his parents by revealing that Michael B. Jordan “had died.”

In the prank video, Angela was in clear disbelief as she stopped in her tracks and then rushed to grab her son’s phone to take a look at “the news” herself. The video clip then ends. Since, Slater has taken to his TikTok to upload an apology to MBJ, his family and fans, and anyone else that was triggered by the video.
