Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Neymar Jr, Kylian Mbappe and his Best friend Achraf Hakimi were absent as teammates gave Leo Messi a guard of honor for winning the World Cup.

Amazing scenes in Brooklyn.

While Mbappe was being honored by the Nets down on the floor Monday, Argentina fans up in the cheap seats serenaded the French star with their nation’s battle cry, “Muchachos”. Likely won’t stop singing until ’26. If then.

The 35-year-old was handed a 10-day break by PSG after his exploits in Qatar but has now reportedly returned to the club ahead of their Coupe de France clash against Chateauroux on Friday. Messi scored twice in the final as Argentina beat Kylian Mbappe’s France on penalties at Lusail Stadium following a 3-3 after extra-time.

However, according to L’Equipe, Messi will not be joined by Mbappe in training after most of the PSG squad were granted a day off following their 3-1 defeat against Lens on Sunday. Mbappe scored a hat-trick in the final but didn’t manage to finish on the winning side as he looked furious with Messi after the final whistle.

PSG boss Christophe Galtier confirmed that Mbappe and Hakimi have been granted “a few days off” after their swift returns to Parc des Princes following the 2022 World Cup. Mbappe fired France to a runners-up finish in Qatar while Hakimi helped Morocco become the first African nation to reach the semi-finals.

WHAT NEXT? Mbappe and Hakimi are expected to return to action against Rennes in Ligue 1 on January 15, with Lionel Messi also set to be back by then after helping Argentina to a long-awaited global crown in the Middle East.

There had been some talk surrounding the pair before the game, especially after it was revealed Mbappe’s idol is Cristiano Ronaldo and he believes the forward is “untouchable” in the battle with Messi. PSG teammate Abdou Diallo said, viathe Mail: “Cristiano Ronaldo is literally everything to Kylian Mbappe. If you mention Lionel Messi against Cristiano, Mbappe will debate with you for at least an hour. For him, Cristiano is untouchable.”

It seemed to add a bit of bite to the game but it was Messi who came out on top in a topsy-turvy encounter. With Messi now set to return to PSG training, he will have to reunite with Mbappe for the first time since the tournament, although it won’t be at training on Tuesday.

From the very first moment Mbappe appeared in 2017 during his time at Monaco, the young French attacker started racking up praises from Pele himself.

The duo met a couple of times in person and developed a beautiful friendship. Pele always saw a lot of himself every time he watched the Paris Saint-Germain forward perform.

Mbappe always revered Pele as the true Greatest player Of All Time (GOAT) despite having Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo as his childhood idol and playing with Argentina captain, Lionel Messi at Paris Saint-Germain.

The 23-year-old has all the attributes Pele used to possess when he was a youngster.

Pele was a generational talent and Mbappe is going through a very similar experience with France. In July 2018, Pele congratulated Mbappe for equaling his 60-year-old World Cup record in France’s 4-3 win over Argentina.

On December 18, 2022, Pele hailed Mbappe, who scored a hat-trick and another goal during France’s 2022 FIFA World Cup 4-2 penalty final defeat to Argentina after the match ended in a 3-3 draw after extra time.

Pele won three World Cup trophies for Brazil during his career as a professional footballer, while Mbappe has so far won one World Cup – the 2018 edition in Russia.

Can Mbappe equal Pele’s three World Cup trophies before he ends his football career?

“Mbappe is a very outstanding player and will no doubt be among the greatest players in football,” Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) FC head coach, Abubakar Ibrahim told DAILY POST.

“He is still young yet has shown us what he is capable of. He has already claimed five domestic titles in France and scored 250 career goals. At the age of 18, he won the 2018 World Cup, which was his first.
