Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that La Lupita guitarist, Lino Nava, has died of brain cancer.
Nava died at the age of 55 after losing the battle against cancer that he had been facing since 2019. It was at that time that the musician made it public that he was suffering from brain cancer . Two years later, in 2021, he announced with relief and hope his victory over the disease, since he had already undergone chemotherapy and surgery.
Unfortunately, in 2023 Lino canceled various presentations due to his state of health, and since last May 3 his relapse was confirmed and this Tuesday the 7th his wife broke the news to his family and friends. It should be noted that some of his colleagues were able to say goodbye to the legendary Mexican guitarist.
Throughout his career, Lino Nava contributed significantly to the musical scene from his first band, Raxas in 1988, to the formation of La Lupita in 1991. The guitarist’s legacy will live on with memorable riffs on albums like “Pa’serve a you.” (1992), “How beautiful almost everything is” (1994), “Three-D” (1996), “Caramelo Massizo” (1998) and “Lupitología” (2004).
