A 27 year old man who was “mistakenly” shot by police 6 times in Matsulu, Mpumalanga is recovering after being discharged from hospital.
According to information, the name of the victim has been identified as Senzo Mkhabela
The uniform less SAPS started firing rain of bullets into his car when they thought he was part of the crew that was going to rob a bank.
“We recorded warrant officer Evans Mhlanga saying there were people who were going to rob a bank, so SAPS thought he might be part of the robbery, he wasn’t parked at the atm that was going to be robbed. He was outside a guest house.”
