Ebubeagu Operatives Allegedly “Abduct” Lawyer In Ebonyi State
Suspected Ebubeagu Operatives have allegedly abducted a female lawyer in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
IGBERE TV gathered that the lawyer has been a strong critic of the modus operandi of the security outfit in Ebonyi State.
According to her colleague, Ugama State, the lawyer was abducted and taken to Old government house Abakaliki.
He said, “Information has it that Barr. Rita Anyigor was picked few minutes ago by men of the Ebubeagu security outfit around presco by Eguogboriga junction and have been taken to old government house.”
“While I totally understand that it is within their rights to make arrests but going by their precedents when dealing with opposition voices, we want to call on them to make sure that no harm comes to Rita.”
“She has been one of the most vocal person who criticizes the state government and its policies and activities. She is equally a key supporter of Prof. Benard Ifeanyi Odoh the Frontline governorship aspirant in the forthcoming election.”
“We are reaching out to the leaders of the Nigerian Bar Association both state and national to make sure that Rita is not hurt in any way.”
