Vargas is seen in the video pulling small plastic bags of cash out of the McDonald’s bag.
“What is this? Why would they do this?” he asks in the video. In an interesting turn of events, a customer who ordered a sausage McMuffin at a Mcdonald’s in Indiana received a bag full of cash instead of food.
The employees at the store accidentally gave the bag containing thousands of dollars in cash to the customer, who has been identified as Josiah Vargas. This mix-up occurred when Vargas went to the store to pick up his ordered food.
A video was also posted on TikTok by Vargas over the incident. In the clip, Vargas can be seen taking out small plastic bags of cash from the bag given by McDonald’s employees, as per ET.
The customer Vargas also asks in the video, “What is this? Why would they do this? Why would you guys do this? You know how bad I want this money?”
He looks to think about what he should do with the bag full of cash at this moment. Eventually, the customer decides to stay honest and goes to the store to return it.
McDonald’s rewarded the honest customer by giving him $200 and free food for a month.
In the video, as per the report, Vargas can be seen walking back into McDonald’s to return the cash. He also admitted that he was tempted to keep it but he went back to return the money to the fast food chain employees as he is a “good person.”
