Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that ESPN’s Sportcenter journalist, Antero Greco, is currently at Hospital Beneficência Portuguesa Mirante, in São Paulo, while battling in his last days against brain tumor.
Antero Greco, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in June 2022, is admitted to the Hospital Beneficência Portuguesa Mirante, in São Paulo. He is sedated and is fed through a tube.
Soares reported that Antero is surrounded by family and friends, who have taken advantage of the last moments to say goodbye. After two surgeries, radiotherapy and chemotherapy sessions, Greco experienced a recent deterioration in his health.
In September last year, Antero Greco fell ill during a live program, which resulted in his hospitalization and the anticipation of surgery scheduled for later months. Despite medical efforts, his condition worsened, ranging from medium to very serious stages.
Greco’s words during his final SportsCenter appearance in 2023 resonate, highlighting his resilience in the face of adversity: “I’ve had radiation and chemotherapy, I’m feeling great, I’m cleared.”
