POLICE in Lusaka have launched a manhunt for a Chinese national who allegedly stole K1,100, 000 cash from his employer’s house.
Zambia Police Deputy Public Relations Officer Danny Mwale said Ruan Chandan who worked as a supervisor at Max Beef Company in Chawama is currently on the run.
Mr Mwale said Chandan stole yesterday around 14:00 hours from the house where he used to live with his boss.
“The suspect is alleged to have stolen the money from his employer identified as Ye Jianbin 47, also a Chinese national and owner of Max Beef Company. The money is said to have been stolen from the house on February 3, 2023 around 14:00 hours,”he said in a statement.
He said the suspect knew that the money was being kept in the house.
