A businessman received a punishment with a suspended prison term for defrauding Eskom of more than R2.6 million.
Michael Chimanzi, 57, was given an eight-year prison sentence by the Nelspruit Commercial Crimes Court, which was completely suspended for five years.
Chimanzi was charged alongside his two co-accused, Nwabisa Ngxola and Cinderella Moropane, who were both working as finance clerks for Eskom, according to NPA spokesman in Mpumalanga Monicca Nyuswa.
