Outrage as vigilante reportedly k#ll a 27 yrs old man over missing phone in Abia State
A yet-to-be-identified official of the Abia State Vigilante group has sh%t and k#lled a 27-year-old staff member of De Choice Eatery, Izuchukwu Mbakwe, in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.
According to multiple reports, the incident happened on Sunday, March 26, when the deceased had approached his manager over unpaid 5-months salary. It is alleged that the manager thr£atened Izu and ordered thugs to a§§ault him. One Eberechi Ezeocha on Facebook reports that while the deceased attempted to leave the premises, the thugs sh%t him in the legs resulting in his d£ath.
Another source reports that the deceased had arrived the company’s premises for work when the Internal Auditor summoned Vigilante Security Guards and demanded his arrest over the disappearance of a company-owned “Nokia Torch.”
Overzealous guards were accused of str#pping and a§§aulting him before sh@@ting him at close range with a Pump Action Rifle. He was subsequently rushed to FMC Umuahia for treatment, where he passed on.
However, residents have taken to social media and the streets to seek justice for the deceased while calling for the arrest of the manager and the vigilante involved in Izu’s d£ath.
