Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that 18-year-old Iraqi immigrant, Mohammed Mohammed, arrested after he killed polish man, Mikael Janicki, while riding bike with his 12-year-old child in Sweden.

Swedish police today arrested a suspect for the murder on the Polish immigrant Mikael Janicki.

The 18-year-old was arrested this morning, questioned during the morning and arrested just before half past two. He was then requested to be detained on probable cause on suspicion of the murder of Mikael Janicki on the evening of April 10 this year, as well as serious weapons offences.

He came to Sweden from Iraq as an asylum seeker in 2007.

The murder enraged Swedes like in few previous cases. The police stated in connection with the custody that Mohammed had been criminally active for two years. He was already suspected of four robberies, and had previously been suspected of robbery, attempted theft, assault, vandalism and drug offences.

In 2022, Mohammed Mohammed was convicted of minor drug offenses and early last year he was again charged with robbery after stolen goods from a robbery were found at his home. Mohammed claimed that the stolen item was something that a friend had forgotten at his place – an explanation the district court believed and therefore acquitted him.

Mohammed Mohammed was born in Nineveh in Iraq. He came to Sweden as a child in the fall of 2007 and became a Swedish citizen just over five years later. He has his parents and older and younger siblings in Sweden.
