Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Varun Dhawan gets Dragged for making Gigi Hadid uncomfortable by kissing her on cheek during NMACC Gala dinner.
Varun Dhawan delivered an energetic performance on the second day of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre opening gala. An inside video from the event featured the actor inviting Gigi Hadid on stage and picking her up in his arms. After a twirl, Varun was seen giving a peck on Gigi’s cheek, post which she left the stage.
He was responding to one of the social media users who labelled the act “disgusting”. “If you are a woman, you are not safe anywhere with anyone. Even if you are Gigi Hadid, invited to a party with an ‘elite’ crowd, guys like Varun dhawan will randomly pick you up and kiss you without your consent, all in the name of fUn. Disgusting (sic)” the tweet, which was later deleted, read.
The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), situated within the Jio World Centre at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai, was inaugurated on Friday and the fashion showcase was launched on the second day of the opening gala on Saturday.
A now deleted tweet read, “If you are a woman, you are not safe anywhere with anyone. Even if you are Gigi Hadid, invited to a party with an “elite” crowd, guys like Varun Dhawan will randomly pick you up and kiss you without your consent, all in the name of fun. Disgusting.” Reacting to it, Varun Dhawan wrote, “I guess today you woke up and decided to be woke. So lemme burst ur bubble and tell u it was planned for her to be on stage so find a new Twitter cause to vent about rather then going out and doing something about things. Good morning.”
Amid his performance, Varun Dhawan was also joined by Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh. The trio shook a leg to ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’ onstage. This grand event was also attended by Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Deepika Padukone, Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Karan Johar, Gauri Khan, Aryan Khan, Salman Khan and Janhvi Kapoor among others.
Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, also called NMACC, is stationed within Jio World Centre in Mumbai. It was inaugurated with a grand opening on March 31. The Day 2 of launch was held on April 1. The centre, which is housed within the Jio World Centre in Bandra-Kurla Complex, is Nita Ambani’s dream project. With this, she aims to preserve and promote Indian art forms. Many popular Hollywood and Bollywood celebs attended the grand launch. Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Gigi Hadid, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Karan Johar, Zendaya, Tom Holland, and many others were in attendance.
Several netizens took to Twitter to lambast Varun. One of the many tweets read, “If you are a woman, you are not safe anywhere with anyone.
