A businessman, identified as Ibeh Onyeka aka Onyi gadget, has reportedly been shot dead by a bribe-seeking police officer in Asaba, Delta State.

Onyi Gadget was shot dead by unknown police officers in the early hours of Wednesday accompanied with his wife whom he married late 2022 and the incident happened around Ugbolu-Asaba road, his name is Onyeka Ibeh who is a phone dealer at Ogbeogonogo Market.

According to an eyewitness who spoke with Instablog9ja, “He and his wife were on their way to work this morning when he was stopped by a team of police officers. They asked him for money and he gave them.

However, after a few mins drive, he ran into another set of police officers who demanded that he gives them money. They asked him for N100 but he said he doesn’t have any money with because he had given his last cash to their colleagues.

One of the police officers cocked his g¥n and Onyi stepped on his accelerator but he was sh%t in the head before he could move. He is very popular in Asaba, he got married three months ago and his wife is currently pregnant.”

In videos obtained, angry youths were seen carrying his corp§lse to the police station as they protest and demand for justice.
