3 women to sue Andrew Tate over alleged rape & physical abuse.
New rape and abuse allegations have been made by three women in the UK against self-proclaimed misogynist Andrew Tate, as the controversial influencer remains under house arrest in Romania on rape, trafficking and organized crime charges.
The women, now in their late 20s and early 30s, announced Thursday that they plan to sue the influencer over the alleged abuse they faced while working as webcam models for Tate when he lived in England from 2013 to 2016.
The women, represented by McCue Jury & Partners, said they have suffered severe physical and psychological damage, and want to “prove in court that Andrew is abusive, coercive and controlling and that his public statements about women are nothing more than a fantasy,” Sky News reported.
The group of women reported Tate’s abuse to police about eight years ago.
He was arrested three times on suspicion of raping two women and another time for assault, but the case was soon after abandoned with no further action.
In a joint statement, they added: ‘We intend to take action to encourage a criminal investigation in the UK and pursue a civil case against Tate for compensation to help rebuild our lives.
‘In doing so, we hope to empower other victims of his abuse.
‘We want to show them that we, as survivors, can stand up to him and that every one of his despicable acts has consequences.
‘Our goal is to reveal his true face in a UK court and prevent other women from becoming his victims, and to release impressionable young boys from his toxic hold.’
The women say they worked as webcam models for Tate in Luton between 2013 and 2016, and were abused, poorly paid and threatened to try to stop them going to the police during that time.
Tate, 36, previously denied the allegations, and said: ‘They wanted money because I fired them.
‘The police understood after the investigation that I am innocent.’
Both Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan are currently being investigated in Romania over suspected human trafficking, rape and sexual exploitation of women, as well as supposed links to organised crime.
The Tate brothers deny all claims against them.
Hertfordshire police began investigating the women’s allegations in 2015 and arrested Tate three times on suspicion of raping two women and assaulting a third.
However, the case was abandoned four years later with no further action. The force apologised for delays in the investigation.
