A 17-year-od girl arrested for killing and dumping her own child.
A 17-year-old teenager, doing grade 10 was arrested for allegedly killing her own child and dumping him in a pit toilet at Ha-Mphego outside of Thohoyandou.
It is reported the baby’s father requested to see the child on April 6, 2023, of which the mother lied to him and made up a tale that the child was in Gauteng with the grandmother.
The baby’s father did not take the situation lightly following discovered suspicion. He proceeded by calling the grandmother to confirm, but he was given a different answer. He then realized that the child was not in Gauteng.
On April 15, 2023, he reported the incident to the police. The mother was brought in for questioning by the police until she became afraid and showed them where the child was dumped and afterwards, an immediate arrest was made.
