Soulja Boy has been ordered to pay his ex-girlfriend $235,000 for allegedly assaulting and kidnapping her.
On Friday (April 21), a Los Angeles jury reached a verdict in Meyers’ civil case, according to Radar Online. Court documents show that the jury awarded Meyers $1,800 for “mental health expenses” and another $234,100 for “physical and mental pain and suffering,” which brings the grand total to $235,900.
Additionally, the jury found that Soulja had engaged in “malice, oppression or fraud.”
The SODMG founder was never criminally charged for the assault, but cops later discovered weapons in his home, violating his probation. According to him, Myers’ injuries were caused by a third party. He has denied any wrongdoing.
During her testimony last week, Meyers presented pictures of her purported injuries, including three broken ribs. In addition to the text messages, she exhibited DMs that she claimed were sent to her by the rapper. While Soulja Boy was not charged with a crime for the alleged assault, law enforcement officers discovered weapons at his residence, which breached the conditions of his probation. The rapper contends that a third party caused Myers’ injuries and has denied any culpability.
Soulja Boy sure knows how to ruin a good night. In February 2019, a party was reportedly held at the location where an incident occurred. The events of that night led to a lawsuit being filed against the rapper and his assistant for sexual battery. The alleged assault and kidnapping happened at the his Malibu residence and lasted for about six hours. When the victim, Kayla Myers, tried to leave, there was a disagreement between her and one of Soulja’s assistants. According to the suit, Myers claims she was knocked to the ground and kicked in the stomach.
