New Bodycam footage shows the moment that Alabama Football Player Tony Mitchell was pulled over going 141 MPH trying to evade police

Tony Mitchell began to cry & tell the police everything.
According to the arrest report, which was obtained Tuesday by USA TODAY Sports, deputies clocked a black Dodge Challenger allegedly driven by Mitchell traveling at 78 miles per hour in a zone whose speed limit was 55, shortly before 10:30 p.m. the night of the incident. After trying to initiate a traffic stop, the car accelerated to more than 141 miles per hour before deputies lost sight of it, according to the report.
Sheriff’s deputies allegedly observed Mitchell’s “eyes to be red and glazy” and that he “appeared to have a slow and/or delayed response answering questions” when they approached the car to question him and Lewis. The deputies “did detect the odor of burnt marijuana coming from within” the car, per the report, at which time they asked Mitchell if there was any marijuana in the car.
After detailing the arrest and saying that Mitchell’s eyes appeared to be “red and glazy” and that he “appeared to have a slow and/or delayed response answering questions,” the officer wrote the following:
“Mr. Mitchell was informed of his Miranda warnings and denied possession of the marijuana, set of scales, pills, and firearm, however admitting to fleeing law enforcement, claiming Mr. Lewis told him to ‘punch it.'”
“March 15, 2023, at approximately 22:27, Cpl. W. Strickland and I were sitting stationary at Highway 79 north of Harvey Carter Road,” the sheriff’s deputy wrote in the arrest report. “I observed a Dodge Challenger black in color traveling south on Highway 79 appearing to be traveling over the posted speed limit of 55 miles per hour. By utilizing my Stalker Dual Radar’s front radar antenna, I was able to confirm the vehicle’s speed at 78 miles per hour.
