Taking to social media, Twitter user, Sultan, shared the Gist.
Information reads: “Nigerian cardiothoracic surgeon born and brought up in Maiduguri, schooled and trained in Maiduguri, removed and arrow that was shot at a young girl and pierced her beating heart. But somebody here on twitter was thinking Nigerian Drs cannot handle a ruptured appendix.”
Sultan wrote: “A 13 year old girl was mistakenly shot by an arrow which pierce deep into her heart and abdomen. She was successfully operated and the arrow was removed by a consultant Cardio-thoracic surgeon in UMTH maiduguri.
