Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Engineer, Kenneth Kungu Wainaina, slumped and died on the pulpit while speaking to congregants in Ruiru.
A video showing a church elder collapsing while addressing the congregants has gone viral on social media.
It has now emerged that the elder collapsed after suffering from a heart attack and passed on.
The incident took place in Ruiru on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
The 67-year-old man’s family published an obituary on Google confirming the tragic incident, with initial reports indicating that he suffered a heart attack.
“With deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will, we, the family announce the passing of Rtd Elder Eng. Kenneth Kungu Wainaina on 19th May 2024,” read part of the obituary.
