According to the announcement, Murphy had sent the money to Adunni Ade as payment for a role in his upcoming movie before his sudden death.

In the presence of guests who gathered for the event, they urged Adunni Ade to return the money.

“Adunni Ade, please return the N250,000 that you owe the late Murphy Afolabi,” the announcer said in Yoruba.

The burial committee has urged Adunni Ade to repay the N250k Murphy presented to her during an event conducted in memory of the late actor Murphy Afolabi.

The representative claimed that some persons disclosed that Murphy owed them money prior to his passing. But now we know that Murphy also paid someone for a work before he passed away. Adunni Adewale received N250k from him. They begged her to give the cash back to the funeral committee instead because they were raising money for the deceased’s children.

Murphy Afolabi died on Sunday, May 14, after he reportedly slipped in his bathroom at his residence in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
