The 95-year-old #Australian woman who was shot with a stun gun by a #cop in her nursing home last week died on Wednesday — and officials said the officer would face more charges.
#ClareNowland, a dementia patient, fractured her skull when she fell to the ground after being shocked by Constable Kristian White on May 17.
White and another cop responded to the specialized nursing home in New South Wales after staff reported that Nowland had taken a steak knife from the kitchen, according to officials.
White was initially charged with recklessly causing grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and common assault. The charges were expected to be upgraded after Nowland succumbed to her injuries at a Cooma hospital.
