“Eat Bulaga” hosts Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Maine Mendoza, Allan K, Ryan Agoncillo and Ryzza Mae Dizon have also resigned from production company TAPE Inc., following the noontime show mainstays Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon’s (TVJ) departure.

A copy of the hosts’ resignation letter addressed to TAPE’s president Romeo Jalosjos, Jr. was shown by Vic’s wife, Pauleen Luna, through her Instagram page on Thursday, June 1.

Inc. (TAPE, Inc.) President and CEO Romeo Jalosjos Jr.

“Dear Mr. Jalosjos, Dahil po sa mga nangyari, kami po ay magpapaalam na rin sa TAPE Inc. simula ngayong araw, May 31, 2023,” the message read.

Those who signed the letter include Paolo Ballesteros, Jose Manalo, Maine Mendoza, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Wally Bayola, Ryan Agoncillo, and Allan K.

Seasoned TV hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon (TVJ) surprised fans recently with the announcement that they were ending their partnership with Television and Production Exponents, Inc. (TAPE Inc.), the production company behind the 44-year-old noontime TV show “Eat Bulaga.”

While TAPE described the trio’s decision to leave as “unfortunate,” it stressed that “the success of ‘Eat Bulaga’ is not dependent only on three people.”

“Ang pag-alis ng mga hosts ay hindi dahilan para tumigil ang pag-ikot ng mundo,” the production company said.

In her Instagram Story, Pauleen noted that the show’s writers, sales team, production crew, and cameramen also left the production company.

Tito, Vic, and Joey, collectively known as TVJ, announced their departure from TAPE in the middle of a rerun of an old episode of the show on Wednesday.

Their departure came in light of alleged internal conflicts between the hosts and TVJ over various issues, including the retirement of Eat Bulaga producer Tony Tuviera, and P30 million owed to TVJ.

Eat Bulaga was meant to celebrate its 44th anniversary in July.
