While Jenny, a member of the group BLACKPINK, made her Hollywood debut, rumors of her joining Marvel appeared.
On the 9th (local time), foreign media including Asia One reported that Jenny would join Marvel.
According to the report, Jenny will be cast in ‘Team Agents of Atlas’, known as Marvel’s new series. The role Jennie was offered in the play is Luna Snow (Seol-hee). Luna Snow is a character that first appeared in the video game ‘Marvel Super War’ in 2020, and Luna, from the group f(x) at the time, served as her voice actor.
With the addition of the story that actors who have been active in Marvel recently followed Jenny’s social media account, the rumor of joining Marvel seemed to be official.
However, Jenny’s agency, YG Entertainment, told Star News on the 12th, “Jennie has never received an offer to appear in the Marvel series ‘Team Agents of Atlas'” and drew a line at the rumor of joining Marvel. Meanwhile, Jenny completed her Hollywood debut by appearing in the new HBO drama ‘The Idol’ released this month. ‘The Idol’ is a work about the world and love story of a popular female pop singer in the music industry of Los Angeles. Sam Levinson of ‘Euphoria’ directed and wrote the script, and Lily-Rose Depp, The Weeknd, Troye Sivan, and Blackpink’s Jennie appeared.
YGE’s official staff has confirmed that
“It is not true that Jennie has been offered to appear on the Marvel Series ‘Team Agent of Atlas’.”
