Jack Grealish had to be held up by Kyle Walker as he left their hotel in Ibiza on Monday morning, before being offered a wheelchair by staff at the airport.
“There’s one person in this team who I absolutely adore. And he looks homeless. His name is Bernardo Silva,” Grealish said at the club.
Bernardo Silva remains among the top targets for Paris Saint-Germain. Club is planning for Bernardo move since March — but Man City will ask for important fee. Nothing close yet. 🇵🇹 #PSG
PSG director Luis Campos has great connection with Bernardo since he was at Monaco.
The speculation about his future has clearly reached the players. And as the squad travelled via tram to catch their open-top bus for their victory parade, a topless Grealish was spotted singing “please don’t go” as the players around them and Bernardo himself chuckled.
Bernardo, 28, has been a key figure in Pep Guardiola’s squad as the club finally got their hands on the Champions League trophy and matched Manchester United’s 1999 feat.
But he has been linked with a move away from the Man City this summer to embark on a new challenge, with a host of European giants linked.
However, fans are convinced Bernardo shook his head after “agent Jack Grealish” pleaded with him to stay.
One tweeted: “Oh no.. he shook his head.” TV cameras followed City’s parade, which was dampened by the Manchester weather, and Grealish was spotted telling Silva: “Please don’t go, Bernardo! Please don’t go!”
Silva and his teammates, including Ruben Dias, laughed at Grealish’s antics. Grealish also serenaded Silva at a private party and said: “Honestly, there’s one person in this team I absolutely adore… and he looks homeless. His name is Bernardo Silva.”
City star Silva is believed to be one of PSG’s main summer transfer targets. The winger knows a thing or two about French football after scoring 28 goals in three seasons at Monaco, helping them win the Ligue 1 title in 2017 before moving to the Etihad.
