Larsa Pippen has reportedly been awarded some of her ex-husband Scottie Pippen’s Chicago Bulls retirement fund.

Larsa has been recognized as an “alternate payee” of Scottie’s Chicago Bulls 401k Savings Plan Trust, RadarOnline reports.

Scottie’s retirement plan account was deemed community property of their marital estate.

He was with the Chicago Bulls from 1987 to 1998, before returning briefly from 2003 to 2004.

The Blast reports the amount was to be dispensed to Larsa in a ‘cash lump sum’ and was to be paid ‘as soon as administratively possible following the approval of this order.’

It was signed by a judge on June 16, 2023.

The Blast also reports that the order appears to state Larsa is set to receive the full amount, no matter how much money is currently in the account.

‘To the extent, there are no assets in his account sufficient to satisfy the assignment benefit on the date a separate account is established for (Larsa), the order should be interpreted as an award of 100% of (Scottie’s) vested account balance,’ the order states.

Scottie has already agreed to pay Larsa an undisclosed amount for child support as part of their divorce agreement. They both share legal and physical custody of their children. If that wasn’t enough, the order appears to read that Larsa is also entitled to the full amount regardless of what is currently in the account. It states, “To the extent, there are no assets in his account sufficient to satisfy the assignment benefit on the date a separate account is established for (Larsa), the order should be interpreted as an award of 100% of (Scottie’s) vested account balance.”

According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, an order was put in place by an L.A. County court in regard to the former couple’s ongoing divorce — specifying Larsa’s rights to Scottie’s Chicago Bulls 401(k) and “savings plan trust.”

In the order, the court recognizes Larsa as Scottie’s ex-wife — whom he married in 1997. The official date of separation is November 3, 2016. So…she was legally awarded “Fifty Percent” of all account balances as of the plan’s valuation amount closest to the date of their separation. In other words, she gets half of the amount that was accrued in the account from 1997 to 2016.

At the time the finalization of their divorce was announced, lawyer David J. Glass told Us Weekly in a statement: ‘I can confirm that Scottie and Larsa Pippen are now divorced, and that the divorce was finalized on December 15, 2021.’

Glass continued: ‘All issues were resolved amicably. The parties are now focusing [on] successfully co-parenting their remaining minor children.’

‘Larsa is relieved to have the entire process behind her and is happy that she and Scottie managed to keep their private lives largely private,’ Glass told HollywoodLife.

Larsa has since moved on romantically since her split from Scottie. In a surprise move, she has begun dating 32-year-old Marcus Jordan, the son of Scottie’s Chicago Bulls rival Michael Jordan.
