It’s a three-fight deal for @Canelo with PBC, per sources, the other two fights expected to take place in May and September 2024.

He came out on top in that previous encounter, edging a highly-disputed majority-decision in Las Vegas, having also scraped an even more contentious draw when they first collided a year earlier.

Golovkin also has his own clash with Ryoto Murata to navigate past in April before a trilogy with his arch-nemesis becomes a reality.

According to ESPN, Canelo and manager-trainer Eddy Reynoso are also planning a third fight with Matchroom that could go ahead in December.

The deal is said to be worth a potential $160m, trumping the £34m ($45m) one-fight offer from PBC to defend his undisputed super-middleweight crown against Jermall Charlo.
