Commander-in-Chief of the 🇷🇺Air Force Surovikin, & his Deputy have been arrested for treason.
They are being held at the Lefortovo detention center.
It is alleged that Surovkin knew in advance of Prigozhin’s plans & aided the coup plotters.

The deputy commander of the joint group of Russian troops in Ukraine, General Sergei Surovikin, has been arrested, The Moscow Times reports, citing two sources close to the Defense Ministry. There is no other confirmation of this information.
According to sources of the publication, the arrest of Surovikin may be associated with an armed rebellion by PMC Wagner.
“There will be news in the context of Prigozhin. Apparently, he [Surovikin] chose the side [of Prigozhin during the rebellion],” the source said. When asked by journalists about where the general is now, he replied: “We don’t even comment on this information through internal channels.”
Earlier, information about the arrest of Surovikin began to appear in Russian Z-media. In particular, it was reported that the general was arrested on June 25, that is, the day after the end of the Wagner PMC rebellion.
