When White won the Golden Globe for best television actor in a musical or comedy series in January, he thanked Timlin profusely, saying, “I love you deep in my bones.” He also won a Screen Actors Guild award for the role.

In an Instagram post after the Globes win, Timlin shared a black-and-white photo of her husband holding his statuette and reminisced about seeing him in drama class when they were 14 years old. “I love this picture so much because you look 14 and 31 at the same time,” she wrote. “Watching you win on Tuesday was one of the most overwhelming dimension-hopping moments of my whole life, watching you win last night while holding our two babies was pretty out of this world too.”

The pair have two daughters. They welcomed their first child in October 2018, and another in December 2020. 

White appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair’s Hollywood Issue this year, where he spoke about his breakthrough in The Bear. Before the hit show, he was on Shameless, but his performance as stressed-out chef Carmy has inspired many a thirsty meme and new fan.
