EFF CIC Julius Malema has been invited to attend the upcoming BRICS Summit which will take place in South Africa.
Malema has accused the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the West of hypocrisy, using bullying tactics and threatening the safety of Putin ahead of his expected visit to the country later this year.
International Relations and Cooperation Minister Naledi Pandor has confirmed that Putin was invited to the Brics summit. EFF CIC Julius Malema has been invited to attend the upcoming BRICS Summit which will take place in South Africa next month but Cyril Ramaphosa & the whole ANC is not happy about these developments because they feel Julius Malema’s presence would upstage them.
The ICC issued a warrant of his arrest last week for “unlawful deportation and transfer of Ukrainian children from occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation, contrary to article 8(2)(a)(vii) and article 8(2)(b)(viii) of the Rome Statute”.
The move has received criticism especially from countries aligned to the Brics bloc of nations.
Putin and China’s Xi Jinping are two of the five presidents who are expected to represent their countries in the summit, where South Africa will be officially handed the chairpersonship baton. Congratulations President Julius Malema on being invited to the BRICS summit, it’s befitting of someone of your stature to be part of this event as you carry aspirations of millions other Africans that look to you for unity of purpose that has to come about this summit.
In March, Julius Malema says Russian President Vladimir Putin must be allowed to attend BRICS Summit in South Africa later this year. ICC has issued arrest warrant against Putin. Malema has vowed to protect Putin should he visit South Africa. German Foreign Minister went to South Africa to convince the president to arrest Putin at the BRICS summit.
