Republicans confirm West Wing of THE WHITE HOUSE evacuated after 20 pounds of cocaine were found on the property.

On Sunday, July 2, the White House experienced a hazmat incident when the US Secret Service (USSS) found an “unknown item” and evacuated its premises. The item was later revealed to be cocaine hydrochloride, a hazmat (hazardous material) that is often used as a local anesthetic during minor surgical procedures of the mouth, nose, and throat.

US Secret Service personnel were doing their usual sweeping of the White House grounds when they found the hazardous material. This is when the Uniform Division Officers of the USSS were alerted, soon after which everyone on the ground was removed.

Hazmat teams were reportedly seen entering the White House’s West Wing, which houses the president’s office and residence, according to an eyewitnesses. It is unknown if the president was informed of the occurrence or was present when it occurred in the building. With numerous layers of security and screening, the West Wing is one of the most secure parts of the White House. Additionally, meetings and some of the most delicate and secret information are held there.

Reports had indicated the substance was believed to be cocaine hydrochloride, a hazardous material that is often used as a local anesthetic.

When reached for an official comment, the USSS declined.

“The Secret Service does not comment on an on-going investigation,” an email to Newsmax read.
