Film actor Saruk Tamrakar was found dead at his house in Ratopul, Kathmandu.

According to SP Sitaram Rijal at the Kathmandu Police Range, Tamrakar was found hanging in his room around 11 pm on Thursday.

The 31-year-old actor was found suspended from a plastic pipe on the railing of the staircase within his house. Authorities promptly initiated an investigation into the incident, and the body was subsequently transported to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Saruk Tamrakar had avidly pursued a career as an actor in films, following in his father’s footsteps.

He made his acting debut in the film “Rani” and also had important cameos in the films “Meri Mamu” and “Intu Mintu London.” He had lately been heavily involved in the filming of Hashtag Maya, which is currently around 45% finished.

While the specific causes behind these individuals’ suicides remain unknown, their untimely deaths have sparked a vital dialogue about mental health within Nepali society. Tamrakar made his debut in the film industry with the movie ‘Rani’ and had notable appearances in ‘Meri Mamu’ and ‘Intu Mintu London’. He had recently been actively engaged in the shooting of the film ‘Hashtag Maya’, which is approximately 45 percent complete till date.

Born into a family with a strong acting legacy, Tamrakar was the son of renowned actor Sanu Tamrakar. He had followed in his father’s footsteps, passionately pursuing a career in film acting.

The 31-year-old actor was discovered hanging from a plastic pipe attached to the stair railing of his house. Authorities quickly launched an inquiry following the frightening incident after promptly reacting to the emergency call.

In accordance with the law, Saruk Tamrakar’s body was then sent to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, where a thorough post-mortem examination will be performed.
