South African musician DJ Tira — real name Mthokozi Khathi — has warned fellow musician DJ Maphorisa about working with Roll-Up hitmaker Emtee. This after Maphorisa headed to Twitter to ask his followers how he can get a hold of Emtee for a work opportunity. Taking to the comment section, DJ Tira complained about his experience with Emtee while sharing that the rapper needs to get his life in order.
The DJ also defended himself from Emtee’s fans who accused him of trying to block Emtee’s opportunities to progress.
Responding to @MokweleMmaphuti, who said: “Don’t give up on him malume, it’s our duty as brothers to support each other, as I told you on WhatsApp yesterday. Let’s stick together.” Tira replied: “Hence I have never attacked him, and I only want him to win.
It’s no secret that things haven’t exactly been going spectacular for local rapper Mthembeni Ndevu — stage name Emtee.
The musician shot to fame almost instantly but soon started making headline for things like woman abuse, drug abuse and even showing his private parts on a live stream.
Currently, he is going through a separation from his pregnant wife Nicole Chinsamy who also had him arrested for allegedly hitting her. In an unexpected move, Tira responded by saying: “Emtee really disappointed me. We dropped a song with @DuncanSkuva, when we wanted to shoot the music video he disappeared, I have never heard from him since then. The music video never came out. But I wish him well, I hope he gets his house in order.”
