Jaylen Brown’s supermax extension with the Celtics could reach up to $304M.
Even though he has proven himself as one of the most crucial parts of the Boston Celtics over the last few years, Jaylen Brown still hasn’t secured a new contract with the team.
Despite the lack of an extension, it is assumed by everyone that Brown and the Celtics will come together on a deal in the near future.
“I can’t really talk about it but it’s been all good discussion,” Stevens said. “We want Jaylen to be here for a long, long time, and we’ve made that clear. We’re looking forward to all sitting down and we have time here. I probably shouldn’t say anything else, but I feel optimistic.”
Brown averaged a career-best 26.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game last season. The Georgia native also earned All-NBA Second Team honors.
A Jaylen Brown supermax with the Boston Celtics would give him the richest contract in NBA HISTORY.
According to ESPN, per Legon Hoops, Brown is going to get a boatload of cash.
They report that Brown’s supermax contract extension with Boston could reach up to $304 million, with $70 million in the final year.
