Suspected hydrogen explosion reported in Chloorkop, Kempton Park in Gauteng
Another explosion has been reported in Chloorkop area of Kempton Park in Gauteng.
It comes just a day after a huge blast in the Johannesburg CBD which left one person dead and scores more injured.
The cause and extent of the blast is still unknown. City of Johannesburg EMS spokesperson Xolile Khumalo told the media the explosion resulted from dynamite connected to a vehicle battery.
Meanwhile, gas and oil company Egoli Gas said a small leak has been detected on the servitude pipeline at the corner of Bree and Eloff Streets on a 100mm pipe following an explosion in the Johannesburg CBD Wednesday afternoon.
At least one person died while 48 people have been injured while 12 were admitted to hospital.
